Description

Fingerpost Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage with later additions and alterations. It has a timber frame on a brick plinth, with painted brick infill between the timbers. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The cottage originally comprised two rooms. The timber framing is characterised by square panels, three from the cill to the wall-plate, with two rectangular panels and V-struts extending from the collar to the gable ends. A late 19th-century casement window is on the ground floor to the left. The entrance is through a boarded door in a mid-19th-century brick addition, which is gabled and features an external brick end stack.
