Description
This is a milepost located approximately 190 metres to the north-west of North Lodge, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a chamfered top. The milepost features superscribed serif lettering. The top reads "ST. MARY.S/PARISH", while the left side indicates "SALOP/ 2 MILES" and "TO THE COUNTY HALL". The right side shows "B.CHURCH /6 1/4 MILES" and "TO THE PARISH CHURCH". This milepost is part of a series along the Shrewsbury to Baschurch road.
