Description
This is a milepost located approximately 80 metres to the north-west of the crossroads in Bomere Heath. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has a triangular section with a chamfered top and features superscribed serif lettering. The top reads "B.CHURCH/PARISH," the left side states "SALOP/6 MILES," and the right side indicates "B.CHURCH/2¼ MILES." It is part of a series of mileposts along the Shrewsbury-Baschurch road.
