Description
Blakeway Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, likely incorporating parts of an earlier building. It is constructed of red brick on a chamfered plinth and features a plain tile roof with raised verges and integral end stacks. Originally designed in an L-plan, the gabled range at the rear on the right has been demolished and replaced by a 20th-century brick extension. The building has two storeys and an attic, with floor bands and five bays. The windows are mid-20th century metal casements set in original segmental-headed openings, and there are three late 19th-century gabled eaves dormers. The central entrance features a 20th-century half-glazed door, which also has a segmental head. The 20th-century extensions to the rear are not of special architectural interest.
