Description

This is an early 19th century shop. It is constructed of painted brick with a slate roof and internal red brick end stacks. The building is three storeys high and has a two-window front. The first floor features 16-paned glazing bar sashes with original plain stone lintels and projecting keystones. The second floor has late 20th century top-hung casements, also with original stone lintels and keystones. A 19th century shop front with a moulded entablature, supported on console brackets, has been altered in the late 20th century, but it still retains a painted wrought-iron bracket for a shop sign above. The building is included on the list for group value.
