Description
The Willow Tree is an inn that has been converted into offices, dating from around 1830 with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped slate roof on the left side, with axial red brick stacks on both the left and right. The building has a three-bay by three-bay layout and stands three storeys tall, topped with a dentilled eaves cornice. The windows are four-paned sashes with gauged heads, although the centre window on the first floor is blocked. The central entrance is framed by a plain pilastered doorcase with a bracketed open pediment, leading to a six-panel door and a three-light rectangular overlight. The building was formerly known as The Lion and was served by the adjacent disused malthouse. It is included for its group value.
