Description
Porkington Terrace is a terrace of five houses built in 1840, featuring minor later alterations. The buildings are constructed of red brick and topped with a slate roof that has four ridge stacks and two internal end stacks. They are two storeys high and have a stone moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. The front facade has 15 windows, with the central three forming a slight break. The windows are glazing bar sashes with painted stone lintels and cills. Each house has a plain doorcase with a bracketed hood and panelled reveals, leading to six-panel doors with rectangular barred overlights. Notably, painted lead downpipes are located to the left and right of No. 3, which features the date "1840" cut into the lintel of the central first-floor window.
