Description

1 The Square is a purpose-built office building dating from the early 19th century. It has an ashlar facade, with the roof hidden behind a parapet. The building stands three storeys high and features a three-window arrangement facing The Square, while the return elevation to High Street has a two-window range. The shop front is largely from the late 20th century, and above it are two- and four-pane sash windows. The cornice is interrupted by acroteria and is slightly raised over the central bay. The elevation facing High Street is unornamented.
