Description
No. 2 The Square is a shop building from the early 19th century, constructed of stucco over brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features a four-window range. A late 20th-century shop front has been inserted. To the right, there is a round-arched doorway with a moulded architrave and cornice, topped by a shallow-arched moulded panel. The first floor showcases Italianate round-arched four-pane sash windows, which have a continuous sill-band and a heavy cornice above. The attic windows are framed with lugged architraves. Above the doorway, there is another round-arched window. The building is finished with a moulded eaves cornice and has gable end stacks with moulded capping.
