Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house over a shop, built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with brick-coped gables. The building has integral brick eaves chimneys at the rear and a plan that includes a front range with a rear gabled cross wing.
The exterior consists of three storeys and includes five tall late 19th-century 2/2 sash windows with painted keyed lintels. There is a heavy moulded cornice with modillions above the second floor. The upper storey has two sliding sash windows. Additionally, there is a mid-19th-century projecting double-fronted display window that incorporates two glazed panelled shop doors. The interior has not been inspected.
