Description
The Vicarage is a house that was originally built as a vicarage in the early 18th century, with additions from the 19th century and alterations in the 20th century. It features a combination of ashlar and stone rubble, with moulded stone eaves set on a stone plinth that has chamfered ashlar capping. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has projecting brick gable-end stacks at the rear, along with a ridge stack on the right side. The front of the building has a range of five windows over two storeys, with 6/6 sash windows that have moulded cases, stone sills, keystones, and stone lintels. The central entrance is framed by a doorcase with fluted pilasters and an open bed pediment that includes a re-entrant fanlight with intersecting tracery glazing bars, leading to a six-panelled door. There are three tiled gabled dormers on the roof, each with leaded 2-light casements. At the rear, there is a stone rubble gable on the right side, which has a brick projecting gable-end stack, and this area is partly covered by brick tiled gabled extensions from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
