Description

This is a late 18th-century house with a shop, extended in the early 20th century. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof, with brick eaves chimneys at the rear. The house is three storeys high and has an asymmetrical, three-window front, with a canted bay on the left. The first floor has three 6/6 sash windows, originally with painted segmental arches, now partially obscured by a projecting, early 20th-century double-fronted shop window with a deep fascia and a glazed panelled shop door. The second floor has three 3/3 sash windows. A plaque is positioned high on the canted bay, and there is a tall central casement window on the gable end. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the wider group value of the area.
