Description

No. 81 Church Street is a house with a shop, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork, a tile roof, and a brick chimney stack. The building stands three storeys tall and has three windows. The windows are nine over twelve-pane sashes set beneath brick voussoirs, with fluted keys and cornices, and stone cills on the second floor, along with a cill band on the first floor. The shop front, which is from the 20th century, is framed by a 19th-century pilaster surround, with a glazed door on the left and a six-panel door with a radial fanlight on the right. The building has a high coped parapet that covers twin hipped roofs. The interior has not been inspected.
