Description

This is a three-storey house in a row, incorporating a restaurant, located on Church Street in Tewkesbury. The original structure dates back to the 17th century, with substantial remodelling occurring in the late 18th century and further changes in the 19th century. The building is constructed with Flemish bond brickwork and has a slate roof, featuring a brick stack. It is a two-windowed facade, with four-pane sash windows set within brick voussoirs and stone sills, above a 19th-century plate-glass shop front. Inside the shop front are two slender cruciform cast-iron columns, banded in a style associated with Batty Langley. A coped parapet tops the building, and a stack is located to the right. The rear of the property features a low wing with a slated half-hipped roof and a two-light casement window to the upper floor. A large valley stack adjoins the stack to the neighbouring property at No. 77. The interior has not been inspected.
