Description
79 and 80 Church Street is a mid-18th century house in a row with a shop. It features Flemish bond brickwork, a tiled roof, and a brick stack. The building stands three storeys high and has two windows. The original 16-pane sash windows are set in face boxes, with painted brick voussoirs above and no cills. On the ground floor, there is a pair of upright plate glass lights flanking a door that has a narrow transom light above it. To the far left, there is a flush panelled door, also with a narrow transom light, both accessed by a single sandstone step. The roof is hipped to the left, with a large T-plan brick stack located below the ridge on the back slope. At the back, there are two deep wings with narrow saddle-back coped gables. The interior has not been inspected.
