Description

This is a house in a row, with a shop, dating to the early 19th century, although it incorporates an older building. The front facade is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork, topped by a tile roof. Originally, the property was laid out at a right angle, with its gable facing the street, but this was concealed by the later front. The building is three storeys high and has a single window on its narrow front. It features large 16-pane sash windows with V-joint lintels and stone sills. A 19th-century shop front has been added, including a glazed door to the left, which has a small transom light above it. The roof has a high, coped parapet that returns to the right, meeting a brick stack at the party wall. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
