Description

This is a house in a row with a shop, built in the early 19th century. It is located on the south side of Barton Street in Tewkesbury. The front facade is constructed of Flemish bond brickwork and has a tile roof with a brick stack. The building is three storeys high and has two windows on each floor. The windows are 16-pane sashes set within brick voussoirs, each with a fluted keystone and cornice, and stone sills. A large plate-glass shop front with a glazed door is located to the right of the entrance. To the right again is a wide plank door set within a segmental brick arch, providing access to a throughway and to number 61A. A parapet hides a mansard roof, and there is a brick stack on the left side of the building. A long rear service wing is present, with a lean-to roof. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
