Description
No. 58 on Barton Street is a mid-19th century house that is part of a row of similar buildings. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a slate roof, with brick stacks. The house has three storeys and one window. On the second floor, there is a 12-pane sash window, above a plate-glass sash window. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front with a 19th-century part-glazed door, which is situated beneath a blocked transom light. The brickwork has straight joints on both sides, with blue brick flush bands at the first and second floors. The gable ends have stacks made of cream brick, topped with terracotta pots. The interior has not been inspected, and there are mid-20th century windows at the rear. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
