Description
No. 16 High Street is a house over a shop, dating from the late 18th century with some 19th-century alterations. The building is constructed of brick and features corbelled eaves, topped by a plain-tiled roof and has a rectangular plan.
The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. It has two 2-light casement windows with brick segmental lintels. The shop area is double-fronted with bay windows on either side of two 20th-century glazed shop doors, which are sheltered by a hipped tiled pentice roof. To the right, there is a 20th-century panelled door. The building also features two gabled tiled dormers with 20th-century casements.
At the rear, there are two gabled tiled dormers and a brick segmental arched opening to the left, all fitted with 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
