No. 8 Lower Brook Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a facade of regularly coursed sandstone, and has a slate roof that is concealed by a coved eaves parapet. The building has three storeys and a two-window front, with glazing bar sashes that have plain lintels. The entrance is located to the right in a separate bay, and it includes a plain doorcase topped with a bracketed pedimented hood, a six-panel door, and a rectangular overlight. At the rear, there is a contemporary red brick range.
