Description

No. 63 Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building features stuccoed red brick that is scored to imitate ashlar, and it has a slate roof with internal end stacks. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a two-window front. The first floor has segmental-headed plate-glass sashes, and there are two 19th-century hip-roofed eaves dormers. The shop front was added in the late 20th century. At the rear, there is a gabled range that is likely also from the 18th century. The building is included for its group value.
