Description

No. 6 Cross Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a slate roof with wide, spreading eaves at the front. It has three storeys and a two-window front. The windows are recessed glazing bar sashes with horns, and they have segmental-arched moulded architraves with projecting keystones on the first floor. The late 20th-century shop front retains 19th-century fluted pilasters at the left corner and on either side of a six-panel door, which has a rectangular overlight to the right.
