Description

27 Wyle Cop is a shop that was originally a dwelling, dating from the late 16th century. The building is timber-framed and features a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The frame is constructed with close studding, middle rails, and ogee braces. On the ground floor, there is an inserted shop front and a side door, while above, there are 12-pane sash windows, with 9-pane windows on the second storey, all set in projecting cases. The building also has tall gabled dormers that are adorned with moulded barge-boards, and there is a rear gable stack.
