Description
No. 60 Wyle Cop is a shop built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a roof that is not visible behind a parapet. The building stands three storeys high and features a three-window range facing Wyle Cop, with a curved corner leading to a three-window return on Beeches Lane. The shop front is stuccoed and includes recessed angled windows topped by a continuous band of small leaded lights on the Wyle Cop elevation. Above, there are 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads and a continuous stuccoed sill band. The second floor has 6-pane sashes. A tripartite sash window is located across the curve, along with three irregularly spaced sash windows on the Beeches Lane elevation. There is a high doorway framed in an architrave with a flat entablature on Beeches Lane, and the building is finished with a stuccoed eaves cornice.
