Description
No. 26 Wyle Cop is a building that dates from around 1800 and was originally a shop, now used as offices. It is constructed of brick with a roof that is not visible behind a parapet. The building has three storeys and features a two-window range. The shop front, which may be original and dates to the early 19th century, includes eight-panelled doors on either side of a central small-paned window. This window is topped with a continuous cornice that has decorative lozenges and other relief embellishments. The upper windows are 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The building is finished with a wooden eaves cornice and a parapet.
