Description

69 Mardol is a shop that likely started as a dwelling, dating from the early 18th century, with a probable earlier core. The building is constructed of brick over a timber frame and features a plain tiled roof. It has three storeys and a single-window range, with an inserted shop front and a tripartite window that has a scalloped canopy above. There is a 6-pane sash window above the shop front, and a string course separates the storeys. The eaves are plain and overhanging. Although the render in the gable and the steep pitch of the roof suggest a timber-framed core, no timber framing is visible from the interior.
