Description

71 Mardol is a shop, which may have originally been a dwelling, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and a three-window range, with an inserted shop front and flush-framed two-pane sash windows that have flat-arched gauged brick heads and moulded sills. There is a string course and angle quoins, along with a modillion eaves cornice that complements the overhanging roof. A stack is located on the rear side wall. The steep pitch of the roof suggests that there may be an earlier core to the structure.
