(Formerly listed as Disused cottage at NGR. SJ 3549 1770, DUGLAND)

II Cottage. Late C17 with minor later alterations. Timber framed with red brick infill; asbestos sheet roof. Two-cell plan of end baffle-entry type. One storey and gable-lit attic.

Framing: square and rectangular panels, three from cill to wall-plate with short straight tension braces; queen-strut truss. Boarded doors to left and to far right. C19 casement to centre and similar opening immediately to left of right door. Integral end stacks, left directly to front of ridge probably inserted, right original but with top rebuilt in C19 brick. Sandstone rubble projection to left gable end probably houses bread oven.

Interior: inspection not possible at time of resurvey (October 1986) but noted as having timber framed cross wall.
