Description

This is a late 17th or early 18th century cottage, extended in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The original plan was a single cell, later extended to the right in the late 20th century. The cottage has a single storey with a gable-lit attic, featuring two dentilled floor bands. The shaped gable to the front has late 20th century casement windows on each floor. A boarded door, accessed through a late 20th century flat-roofed porch, is located on the left return. An internal end stack is present on the rear gable. Inside, the ground-floor room features a chamfered spine beam and joists. A late 20th century red brick lean-to is attached to the rear, and a two-storey gabled addition to the right is not considered to be of special architectural interest.
