Description
This is a milestone located approximately 20 metres south-west of Misty Dawn, likely dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of white-painted stone with black lettering and features a rounded top. The top is inscribed radially with "MINSTERLEY," and below it, the stone reads "2 / SALOP / 11¼." This milestone marks a section of the Shrewsbury to Bishops Castle turnpike road, which was constructed between 1834 and 1838, replacing the older road to the west. Misty Dawn itself is not included in this listing.
