Description
The Ore House, located at NGR SJ 3751 0224, is a building from the mid- to late 19th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and patching, topped with a slate roof. The structure is single storey, featuring double doors on the left side and a late 20th-century door on the right. There is a late 19th-century multi-paned casement window on the right gable end. Inside, there is a central brick wall; the left side is currently used for storage, while the right side serves as a religious meeting house. This building was likely constructed in the 1870s as part of significant improvements to the mine.
