Description
No. 122 on Church Street is a cottage dating from the mid- to late 17th century. It features a timber frame with plastered infill panels and some areas rebuilt in painted brick, topped with a thatched roof. The framing consists of square panels, with three extending from the sole plate to the wall plate, and it has two framed bays. The building is one storey with an attic, and it includes a pair of large full dormers that have late 19th-century two-light metal casements and gables supported by curved struts. There are integral brick end stacks, and the front has two windows with late 19th-century wooden-framed three-light metal casements. A central bounded door is present. The gable ends feature collar and tie-beam trusses with queen struts. At the rear, there is a lean-to addition. The interior has not been inspected.
