Description

This cowhouse, located about 20 metres south-east of Greathouse Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century and has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features a corrugated iron roof. The building is two storeys high, with a loft above the cowhouse. On the upper floor, there is a small central triangular vent with segmental sides. The ground floor has two 2-centred segmental windows flanking a central door, which also has a similar head. This structure is included for its group value.
