6/166 Cowhouse about 30 metres south-east of Lower House Farmhouse

GV II

Cowhouse. Late C17 with early C19 alterations. Rubble, corrugated iron roof. Eaves raised in rubble in early C19 to form loft ventilation slits to first floor with loft door off-centre left. Four entries to ground floor with chamfered wooden surrounds, ledged doors with strap hinges. Right gable has segmental headed loft door. Included for group value. (RCHM 1, p 217, no 29).
