LYNEHAM MILTON R0AD SP22SE (North side) 7/171 Cowhouse approx. 10m NE of Priory Farmhouse

GV II

Cowhouse with hayloft over. Probably late C18 with later alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; asbestos sheet roof. Lean-to to left of centre with external lateral steps abutting leading to boarded door breaking eaves. Stable door directly below steps and small window to right. Stable doors to far left. Interior. Chamfered spine beans to ground floor. Loft has space for pushing hay down to rear. Collar truss roof in 4 bays with double butt-purlins. Included for group value. [2621]
