Description
This cowhouse, located approximately 10 meters northeast of Priory Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble and features an asbestos sheet roof. On the left side, there is a lean-to with external lateral steps leading up to a boarded door that breaks the eaves. Below these steps is a stable door, with a small window to the right and additional stable doors on the far left. Inside, the ground floor has chamfered spine beams, while the loft includes a space for pushing hay down to the rear. The roof is supported by a collar truss design with four bays and double butt-purlins. This building is included for its group value.
