Description

This cowhouse, located approximately 20 meters east of Perrotts Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof. The building is one storey high and has a two-window range. There are chamfered timber lintels above a 20th-century stable door and the flanking windows. Projecting from the front left bay is a one-storey fodder room, which has a timber lintel over 20th-century double doors in the gable end. Inside, the roof consists of a four-bay and two-bay collar-truss design with butt purlins. This structure is included for its group value.
