Description
This cowhouse and attached farm building, located approximately 40 metres northwest of Manor Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and features a plain-tile roof. The building is designed in an L-shape and consists of one storey plus a loft. The front elevation has an old stable door positioned to the right of centre, flanked by two 2-light casement windows, all of which are topped with stone flat arches. There are also two gabled half dormers, one of which serves as a loft door. The lower range of the building projects to the right. Inside, the main range boasts an 8-bay truncated upper-cruck roof and includes some cattle stalls. This structure is included for its group value.
