Description

Eynsham Hall's terrace walls were built between 1904 and 1908 by Sir Ernest George. They are made of squared and coursed grey limestone, with ruddy-coloured limestone used for the balustrade and detailing. The balustrade is designed in a Jacobean style and features plain ashlar piers. There are steps at the front and sides, which are flanked by similar balustrades that have winged lead putti on tall piers at the top of each flight. These walls enclose a raised garden terrace that measures approximately 80 by 15 metres at the rear of Eynsham Hall.
