Description
Two cottages, dating back to the 17th century with 20th-century alterations. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and have a gabled thatch roof with stone ridge and end stacks. The cottages follow a three-unit plan and have one storey and an attic, with a four-window front. A gabled porch was added to the left in the 20th century, and a flat-roofed porch to the right. The windows are 20th century and have timber lintels, along with half-dormer windows in the roof. The left-hand bay, originally from the 17th century and subsequently altered, is under the same roofline. Inside, stop-chamfered bressumers are visible above two open fireplaces. A stop-chamfered beam with roll stops is located on the left side, while the right side features chamfered beams. Windmill Cottage, located to the right, also has collar trusses with butt purlins. The cottages are included on the register primarily for their group value.
