Description
This cowhouse, located about 20 metres south of Church House Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century with some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and features a chamfered plinth. There are two doors, one positioned at the extreme left corner and the other near the right corner. The right gable end has a wooden window frame at ground floor level with ovolo moulded mullions. Above this, there are openings for a pigeon loft with alighting ledges, and a 19th-century window has been cut into the gable. The left gable wall displays segmental headed openings made of 19th-century brick. Inside, the cowhouse has two bays divided by a timber-framed partition with brick infill, and the ceiling features chamfered and stopped beams.
