Description
Upper Crossway is a house dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of rubble and was likely originally timber-framed, topped with a stone slate roof. It features three rooms and has a stack at the east end, which is accompanied by an adjoining spiral staircase. The house has one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by two gabled dormers. The central entrance is located beneath a mid-19th century gabled canopy supported by plain brackets. To the left of the entrance is a 6-pane 19th century fixed casement window, while the right side is blind. The front wall shows signs of reconstruction, indicated by a straight joint near the gable stack. Inside, there are two timber-framed partitions separating the rooms.
