Description
Pen-y-Moor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has a three-room layout that runs north to south. The entrance is a lobby that leads to a stack positioned between the two southern rooms, while there is a gable stack at the north end. The building has two storeys with irregular window arrangements. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane boxed sash windows and a 4-pane fixed casement window to the right, all set under timber lintels. The ground floor features a shallow gabled porch made of brick, flanked by two 12-pane boxed sash windows and a 2-light casement window to the right. Inside, there are chamfered and stopped beams, and a timber-framed partition separates the two northern rooms. The south side of this partition includes 17th-century panelling and an attached bench supported by turned balusters.
