Shown on OS as Newhouse Farm, Bach. Farmhouse. Mid-C17 with late C17, early C19 and C20 alterations. Rubble with ashlar dressings, also some timber-framing with rubble infill, concrete tile roof. L-plan, one wing extending to north, mid-C17, other to east added early C19; north/south wing of 3 roof bays, 2 rooms to ground floor with lateral stack on west wall providing corner fireplaces. North front: 2 storeys, C17 wing projects to right, gable rebuilt early C18, 2-light fixed casement to first floor under timber lintel; wing to left: 2-light fixed casement to right; ground floor: 4-pane boxed sash; to right entrance, with small single fixed light casement to right under same timber lintel, ledged door. Framing: visible in west wall, a single square panel high. Interior: chamfered and stopped beams, roof trusses each have 2 raking struts. Apparently stack was originally on the north gable, replaced in late C17 by new stack on west wall, probably the north stack had adjoining spiral staircase. Present staircase early C19 with stick balusters in added wing.
