Description
These stables, located about 50 yards west of Laddin Farmhouse, were likely built in the mid-18th century. They feature a timber-frame construction with brick infill set on a high brick plinth, topped with a tiled roof. The building consists of four or five structural bays that are aligned roughly north to south and has two levels.
On the east elevation, there are two slatted openings, one on each outer side of a pair of roughly central stable doors. There is also a loft opening in the south gable and a stable door on the right-hand side. The frame of the building is two panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. Inside, the curved principals rise from the loft floor to the collars.
