Description
These stables, located about 20 yards south-west of Lower Court, are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed with a timber frame that features plaster and brick infill, weather-boarded gables, and a tiled roof. The building is probably four bays long and is oriented roughly north to south, with two levels. The east elevation has three openings, including a stable door situated between the left pair and a second entry on the right side. The frame consists of two panels high from the cill to the wall-plate and includes angle struts connecting the corner posts to the wall-plate.
