Description

Brook Farmhouse and attached cider house is a farmhouse, likely dating from the early 19th century, although it may have earlier origins. It is constructed of brick with tiled roofs and end stacks. The building has a rectangular plan, with the main front facing south-east. It is two storeys and has an attic.

The south-east elevation has one window plus two windows, with a gable front to the left. This part has glazing bar sash windows; the ground floor sash of the gable front is tripartite with a rubbed brick head, and the first-floor gable window is a 9-pane early 19th century wooden casement with a segmental head. The attic gable has an early 19th century 2-light casement. The two-window section to the right has a cogged brick eaves cornice, a glazing bar sash window on the ground floor, and 6- and 9-light casements with segmental heads on the first floor. The central entrance has an early 20th century door with a transom light.

An early 19th century, single-storey cider house is attached to the left. It also has a matching cogged eaves cornice, two segmental headed openings with ledged shutters, one on either side of a ledged door to the left. To the extreme right is a small 4-paned iron window with another ledged door to its left. The cider house is said to retain a complete mill and press within.

A small, two-storey wing projects from the rear at the south-west end of the farmhouse.
