KINNERSLEY CP NEWTON SO 34 NW 3/64 Saltwell Cottage

Cottage. Probably C18 with later alterations. Timber-frame finished in roughcast with brick extension. Welsh slate roof with sandstone and brick side stack. One or two-bay timber-framed block aligned roughly north/south with extension to west at south end. One storey and attic. South elevation has two 2-light early C20 casements to ground floor and a similar casement to attic of gable front. Entry in lean-to porch on right-hand side gable return in front of side stack. Interior inaccessible at time of re-survey (November 1986), said to have complete framing.
