Description

Manor Cottage is a cottage, likely dating to the late 17th or early 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is timber-framed with brick infill and a sandstone rubble extension. The end stack is of sandstone rubble and brick, with a detached brick shaft. The roof is covered in Welsh slate and tiles. The building is arranged with two bays plus an extension, aligned roughly east/west. It has one storey and an attic. The north elevation features two gabled dormers with two-light casement windows fitted in the late 20th century. The ground floor has two similar casement windows set within framing that extends two panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, incorporating angle struts from two posts to the wall-plate. A late 20th-century door is located to the right of the left-hand window. The extension has a further late 20th-century casement window and a door. The interior includes heavy ceiling beams.
