Description

This is a milepost, likely dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of wood, probably oak, and features an attached cast iron plaque. The post has a segmental head and stands approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall. The plaque measures about one foot square and has raised lettering that reads "Lemster 12 Miles."
