Description

The Powell monument, located about 20 yards south of the south porch of the Church of St Bartholomew, is a chest tomb commemorating a member of the Powell family who died in 181?. It is made of finely carved sandstone and features a hipped capping. The base is moulded and includes fluted and gadrooned corner balusters. Additionally, H Powell, who died in 1857, is also commemorated on the south inscription panel.
